July 25th, 2008 -- Friday -- Date night! Kevin and I went to Red Robin for dinner, and then saw Step Brothers. Red Robin was yummy, I got a free burger coupon for my birthday from Red Robin, so I let Kevin get the free burger and I got the yummy chicken quesadilla. We walked over to the movie theater to get the movie tickets, and back to the car in the Red Robin parking lot. I had wedge shoes on, so that much walking...ouch! Kevin wanted to go to Target to get a new leatherman tool. His got taken away at the airport in San Francisco. Lame! After walking around the parking lot, and target, my feet were dying. We had more time to kill, so we went into the mall, and had to walk to the opposite side to go to the shoe store to get flip flops. I just couldn't walk in those shoes any longer, I don't know how other women do it, wearing heels all day, walking around. Crazy!!! So I got some cute, sparkly, teal flip flops so I could actually walk! We walked back across the mall and over to the theater. The movie was alright. I think the very beginning and the very end were hilarious. The middle was...eh. Though if you like Will Ferrell, you'll like the movie.
July 26, 2008 -- Saturday -- Sarah and Greg's Wedding! Kevin and I left for Roanoke at about 2:30 to get there at a reasonable time for the wedding, which started at 4. Let me just tell you now, I hate it when people are late. HATE IT! Huge pet peeve. So I will show the same courtesy as I expect at my wedding, by getting there at a reasonable time. Anyway, we got there, and waited to go into the hall, and saw JJ. JJ, Kevin and I all sat together, we only knew each other, other than who was in the wedding party. Sarah's dress was so gorgeous, and it was a beautiful ceremony. After the ceremony we all got in our cars and headed over to where the reception was. It was only just down the road, pretty easy to get to. It was so pretty! We ate snacks while we waited for the wedding party to arrive. Then it was just a fun filled reception with great food (Fajita's!!!), dancing, and lots of class clinking for Sarah and Greg to kiss. Very lovely. :)
July 27, 2008 -- Sunday -- MY BIRTHDAY!!! Awesome day! Sarah and JJ came by and gave me 21 airplane bottles of different liquors. Ooo! That was nice, and I took them downstairs and showed them the basement and bar. Later Kevin came over and we played pool until my dad and brother got back from New Jersey. They brought my presents from the grandparents! I unboxed my Vera Bradley stuff that matched my new glasses! :) We also had cup cakes. Yum! Afterward, Kevin and I headed out to PK's to meet everyone for my birthday celebration! 21st birthday...naturally there would be drinking. My godparents met me at PK's to buy me my first drink! Rum and Coke. I am a slow drinker, and it took forever for me to get through that drink. But, that's just me! We had yummy pizza and Brian bought me a Sprite and Vodka. After I finished that, we headed down to Champs. The bartender gave me what is called a Gooey Cooter...I'm not sure what was in it, but it was Peachy, and it was GOOD! We played a bit of pool, and then hung out some and I watched some other people play darts. I didn't think it was a good idea for me to throw something sharp. During all this I had a Fun Dip shooter with Tank, Dre got me a Screwdriver, and Stephen got me a Coke and Kahlua. I also realized how awesome Brittney was! Eventually I decided I did want to throw some darts, just for fun. At the end of the night I was very happy, not drunk drunk, and ready to go home and sleep! It was an awesome night!!!! :)

August 1, 2008 -- Friday -- Steppin' Out!!! I love Steppin' Out. I look forward to it every year. It is the reason why the first weekend in August is so awesome! The night before I had gone out to PK's for the Tijuana Toss, where you flip a coin and call it, and if you call it right you get it for free! We ended up getting one for free, out of two, not bad! But I didn't stay out too late since I had to be back downtown at 6 the next morning to start help setting up my mom's booth! I ended up being downtown from 6:30 am - 10:30 pm! As boring as it can get sometimes, it is definitely fun. I like being able to sit there and watch everyone walk by...even judging some...but they bring that to themselves. My mom got us all Steppin' Out shirts! I usually wait to get it until the end, and then there are none left and I have to get children sizes. Which isn't too bad, because they're cheaper. So I was glad my mom got them right away. Kevin joined us later in the day and we walked around some. I got a pretty teal bracelet, and Kevin got me some tie-dye hokie yoga pants. AWESOME!!! After the day was over, we zipped up the booth and headed home to crash!
August 2, 2008 -- Saturday -- Steppin' Out Day 2!! It wasn't too early of a morning. But the forecast was calling for a bunch of storms to pass over! My mom and I went up to another booth to get my hair braided with a pretty hokie ribbon. Shortly after it started thundering and then came the rain! It rained off and on all morning. But on toward the afternoon it started getting sunnier and everyone came out! It was a nice second day. Saw some people I haven't seen in a while, saw some people I didn't want to see, but hey...that's Steppin' Out! People who are not from the area, really don't understand how great of an event Steppin' Out really is. You just have to be from here to get it! :)
August 3, 2008 -- Sunday -- Slower day. I did work, I went on-site for a couple hours at the Inn, but all in all it was a pretty relaxing day. Later I hung out with Kevin and we watched the Wedding Singer. In the special features, there are some songs you can sing along with, and I sang along to "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic." Kevin thought it was so cute he had me sing into the mic and recorded it. I had fun singing along to the song, and I love that song! When we finished we went to Macado's for the half off Pop's Sundae special! Yum!
