Haha. Oh I love the Wizard of Oz...it was on last night on TBS.
Anywho...there was a small matter of a football game on Saturday. AND WE WON!!! Beamer's first win over Bowden AND we denied him of his 300th win! It was pretty much amazing.
It was Hokies for the Hungry too, so we split up into 8 renegade bands and went around to all the tailgators to collect food and money. One of the women out on Chicken Hill had "Stick It In" M&Ms! Apparently she has been fighting with the M&M people to print it. Haha.
The "Stick It In" cheer was actually "hidden" in the drum break for half-time, people noticed. It's nice to know they were paying enough attention!
After the game was over I had to leave right away because my parents had to get home. So was going down to where the sit when I almost get trampled by people rushing the field. Kevin was with me since he was able to get away from video for a little bit, so he rescued me from the stampede of students...and one old guy.
YAY!:

Yesterday we took the food we got Saturday over to the Christmas Store. We unloaded the truck with tons of shopping carts and counted them all. How many...I'm not sure. But we had a LOT of carts filled with cans.

We then helped sort through the cans and stock them up. At about 4 we decided it was time to go. Some of us went over to Macado's for dinner...on the MV's :)! So that was pretty fun.
I was pretty disappointed, however, because I was the only sister from Tau Beta Sigma to show up. And there was one brother from Kappa Kappa Psi to show up. I had it under the impression Hokies for the Hungry was a TBS/KKY thing. It's great that people had helped out Saturday and all...but the fact that no one showed up to actually take it to the Christmas Store was stange and disappointing to me. This was a huge service event. To help out the community. I just know that as Historian, I'm not going to put it up on the board or in the slide show that we do "Hokies for the Hungry." Because it's a Marching Virginian thing, not a TBS thing.
Anyway...I have today off from work! So I'm finishing up stuff for the TBS board and putting it up this evening. I'm also thinking I'm going to go over to expert-Ts and see about getting me a TBS sweatshirt made! Apparently the fabric I have is also family letters for some other people...but I love the fabric and I bought it before I knew, so whatever. I'm making it into a sweatshirt, so that's different. It'll be a blue sweatshirt (maybe purple...we'll see the choices) with a pink background. And the letter fabric is black with rainbow music notes! The music notes are kinda in Lisa Frank style if that gives you a clue. I'll take a picture because they are that awesome. :) I also have some tootie roll fabric that I want to get made, but that can wait for a bit.
Update: here's what it looks like:
Have a nice day, remember to thank a veteran today!
